In November 2025, the 7th edition of Open Africa Power concluded. The programme is run by the Enel Foundation in collaboration with Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), and the Enel Foundation presents it within the framework of Italy's Mattei Plan, with its attention on Africa's emerging leaders in the energy transition. I took part as one of the programme's Top 10 Performers.
The Italian Module
The Top 10 Performers completed the Italian Module, an intensive training experience in Milan and Rome that ended on Friday 21 November 2025. It included engagements with institutions, research centres and key players in the energy sector. The Enel Foundation shared the highlights from the final day in the video below.
The Give Back Module
Open Africa Power does not end with the training in Italy. The Give Back Module asks each participant to turn the knowledge gained into tangible value for their own country. It is the part of the programme that carries its impact beyond the ten people who travelled.
I intend to deliver my Give Back Module in Ghana, sharing what I learned with young professionals and institutions working on energy and climate, and connecting it to my ongoing work in the sector. I will report on it as it develops.
Acknowledgements
I thank the Enel Foundation and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) for their continued commitment to Open Africa Power and to young African energy professionals.
