Knowledge Management for a World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence

Knowledge management for a World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence — curating research outputs, building the alumni network, and producing institutional and donor-facing reports.
A Centre of Excellence produces more knowledge than it can retain, and the loss happens at the point where a project ends and its outputs disperse. The knowledge management function exists to stop that: curating research outputs, building the alumni network, and producing the institutional and donor-facing reports through which the Centre accounts for itself to the World Bank.
The post also acts as institutional liaison between the Centre and government agencies, universities, industry partners and international collaborators — the standing relationship layer that individual projects borrow from rather than rebuild each time.
Representation at national policy forums forms the outward-facing half of the role, including UNDP Renewable Energy Master Plan consultations, Ghana’s National EV Policy consultation, and the World Bank Africa Centres of Excellence policy meeting. Carrying a Centre’s technical position into a national consultation is where knowledge management stops being an archive function.
