Coordination of Ghana’s national e-mobility policy working group, holding its outputs to the country’s NDC commitments and building the coalition the later supply-side regulation was founded on.
The working group was the national forum for electric mobility policy, and coordinating it meant running the stakeholder process while holding the group’s outputs to Ghana’s Nationally Determined Contribution commitments — keeping a policy conversation tethered to a quantified international obligation.
Technical input covered e-mobility policy, regulation and capacity-building programmes, spanning both vehicle adoption and charging infrastructure, so that the group’s positions rested on something more than preference.
Activity tracking and progress reporting ran alongside advocacy that widened the coalition supporting electric mobility. That coalition is what the zero-emission vehicle supply-side regulation was subsequently built on: by the time a regulatory instrument was drafted, the constituency for it already existed.
